Parysatis of the Ashfall
Yes, this is a sweet and lovely song! i had the pleasure to see Adaya live on stage with the band Faun several times and i have been blown away by her great musicality every time. And this is a track that i send to my best friend 💚🌿
BITTERSWEET HARMONY - ADAYA WITH HER SINGLE „DANDELION"
When the delicate skin of love lies scattered on the ground: "Dandelion", Adaya's current single, is a song about fateful emotional landscapes that shape our existence.
When our passion seems to crush us, isn't it better to let go and be carried elsewhere? Somewhere else, to a better place, where the dream of loving and being loved can be dreamed anew? This is what I hear Adaya telling us in her picturesque song lines.
"Dandelion" is again one of those bittersweet and shadowy, sparkling pearls by our dark-folk songwriter Adaya. With soulful brilliance, Larsen Genovese (violin) carries Adaya's enchanting voice, while Theo Känzig (bass) and Frederik Rechsteiner (drums) drive the melody forward on velvet paws….
Does Adaya's "Dandelion" stand for the calm before the storm, a storm that announces itself with her newly formed band? Yes, there is and will be more - everything other than gone by the wind.
lyrics
Dandelion
Like a feather in the wind
I tried to spread my wings
But the rain pulled me down
And buried me under the ground
There are dandelions which are blooming
And i hear sounds, sounds of wisdom saying
"She's holding her shadows again"
I tried not to move anymore
And i was feeling proud
But in the end, i'm just another heart with cracks
And in the end, i'm just a little girl who want's to be held
And loved to the extend, of the common dream we all dream
Holding hands, cheering for a drink or two
Talking all about the things we could do, but,
There are lies behind our words
And we tend to shoot down the birds
We cut down our wings and blame each other for it,
we stick our selves to the wall and don't talk about it anymore
And there's nothing, nothing we can change
You are knocking at my door,
I don't hear it anymore
I have turned my self to stone
I'm nor flesh, nor am i bone
I have burned my self down to ashes and,
Now i'm blowing away, with the wind
Holding on to a dandelion seed
Down to the ground it's pulling me
The earth is soft and warm,
washed by the rain
And it's welcoming me, to lay down
and smile, for a while
