about

Stumbling steps outside by her window
One, two, one, two
As louder the steps as bigger her fear
One, two, one, two
These stumbling steps are crawling and roaring
One, two, one, two
She’s shivering and shaking and too scared to move
One, two, one, two, one, two, one

“Oh who are you?” The little girl cries
But all she sees are gleaming red eyes
“What you are I don’t know
Well you’re not alive, so are you a ghost?”

These stumbling steps outside by her window
One, two, one, two
Are coming and going but always are there
One, two, one, two
This poor little girl is listening with fever
One, two, one, two
“Oh when” she cries, “oh when will this end?”

But sudden she hears a strange sounding voice
Saying “how I wish to leave you alone
But I’m not dead nor am I alive
The day I was killed, I swore to survive”

This poor little girl is sitting and listening
Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm
“How” she whispers “can I help your soul?”
Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm
“You I need to fill up my hole
I need your forgiveness for what I’ve become”

She shout’s out loud “I set your soul free
Oh I forgive you for scaring me”
But in that moment her daddy comes in
Saying “What’s happening, with who have you been?”
She points out the window as fast as a gun
But all they can see is the rising sun
